Advances in the management of Obstetric Fistulae KU Leuven
In this thesis research on obstetric fistula is being presented. Obstetric fistula are complications of obstructive labour, where the foetal head compresses tissues against the bony pelvis. This induces ischaemia and necrosis of these tissues and subsequent fistulisation. The high prevalence of obstetric fistula in certain regions of developing countries is a hallmark of poor perinatal care

Advanced Techniques for Grounding and Solving in the IDP Knowledge Base System KU Leuven
The area of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, a subfield of Artificial Intelligence, studies how knowledge can be represented and how it can be used for automated reasoning.
Several declarative programming paradigms implement this by developing a formal language to symbolically represent knowledge, as well as an associated form of inference to achieve the desired solution.

Exploring the dialectic relation between narrative and context from an interactional sociolinguistic perspective: The case of World War II-testimonies KU Leuven

Privacy-Friendly Protocols for Cloud Security KU Leuven
The increasing use of untrusted ICT-based environments for storage and processing demands for effective access control and protection mechanisms for the outsourced user data. Failure to secure the user data results in eliminating the benefits of such services. Cloud computing has several advantages like cheap service costs, higher computing power, scalability and higher performance but there are security issues for cloud providers as well as ...
