Multiscale Analysis and Design for Process Intensification and Innovation Ghent University
This project aims at the design of targeted emerging chemical processes in the context of a new reactor technology, namely in a rotating bed reactor in static geometry. A multiscale approach will be followed; microkinetic models will be developed and implemented in the reactor model and experimental studies on the heat and mass transfer in the reactor will be performed.
Intensification of CO2 capture processes (CAPTIN-2) Ghent University
A drastic reduction in greenhouse gas emissions is absolutely necessary to counter the catastrophic consequences of excessive climate change. However, the electrification of large-scale production processes in the chemical industry is still in full development. CO2 capture is therefore absolutely necessary in the shorter term. However, the high cost and technological limitations of available CO2 separation technologies hinder their successful ...
Intensification of CO2 capture processes (CAPTIN II) KU Leuven
The overall aim of this project is the development of new and more efficient, sustainable and economically viable technologies
for the capture and separation of CO2.
Several routes will be explored to achieve this goal:
1) Intensification of mass and heat transfer processes in the separation and capture of CO2 through the use of a
vortex unit and an aerosol reactor;
2) Electrification of CO2 capture processes using ...
Intensification of CO2 capture processes (CAPTIN) KU Leuven
The CAPTIN project is aimed at the development of new and more efficient, more sustainable and economically feasible technologies for the capture of CO2 separation, through the intensification and electrification of CO2 capture.
