Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Kulak Kortrijk Campus KU Leuven
Our research is aimed at better understanding of the VWF/ADAMTS13/platelet axis in hemostatic, thrombotic and inflammatory processes. We use various in vivo models, combined with intravital microscopy to study molecular and cellular interactions. In particular, we focus on designing novel therapeutic strategies that interfere with von Willebrand factor function for treatment of thrombo-inflammatory disease.

Electrical Engineering Technology (ESAT), Ghent and Aalst Technology Campuses KU Leuven
The Technology Cluster of the department of Electrical Engineering is split up in 3 research units:
- DraMCo: Continuously driven by questions from and contacts with industrial partners, we cover a broad range of research topics in wireless, mobile and embedded communications. The goal is to make new technologies accessible for industrial partners. Technical support, advice, training, networking, etc are part of the core ...
Specialities Vrije Universiteit Brussel
The former PSYM research unit is now part of SPEC. Our unit is mainly involved in research in the field of depression. In close collaboration with the Cyclotron Unit of the V.U.B. and the Nuclear Medicine Department of the Academic Hospital of the V.U.B., brain imaging techniques, more in particular single photon emission tomography (SPET), are used to investigate receptor function in vivo in depressed patients and to study the effects of ...
