From Decision Tables to Semantic Decision Tables: a Trend in Traditional Decision Support Tools for Data and Knowledge Engineering? Vrije Universiteit Brussel
The study of decision tables has been investigated for more than fifty years. Research interests range largely from programming to control systems, robotics, database, and so forth. Modern ontology technologies provide a promising solution to the decision support reasoning and collaborative decision support. Semantic Decision Table (SDT) is defined as a semantically rich decision table supported by Ontology Engineering (OE). An SDT is a decision ...
Semantic Decision Tables: Self-Organizing and Reorganizable Decision Tables Vrije Universiteit Brussel
A Semantic Decision Table (SDT) provides a means to capture and examine decision maker s concepts, as well as a tool for refining their decision knowledge and facilitating knowledge sharing in a scalable manner. One challenge SDT faces is to organize decision resources represented in a tabular format based on the user s needs at different levels. It is important to make it self organized and automatically reorganized when the requirements are ...
Semantic decision tables: self-organizing and reorganizable decision tables KU Leuven

In-line monitoring of compaction properties on a rotary tablet press during tablet manufacturing of hot-melt extruded amorphous solid dispersions Ghent University
Reduction of tablet weight variability by optimizing paddle speed in the forced feeder of a high-speed rotary tablet press Ghent University
Practical considerations informing teachers' technology integration decisions: the case of tablet PCs Vrije Universiteit Brussel Ghent University
The unique characteristics of Tablet-PCs promise important benefits for education. Yet, little is known about the rationale underlying teachers’ decisions concerning its educational uses within the constraints of daily classroom practice. The current multiple case study investigated the practical considerations informing nine secondary school teachers’ decision-making processes regarding the use of Tablet-PCs. Stimulated recall interviews ...
ReHoblet – A Home-Based Rehabilitation Game on the Tablet Hasselt University
We present ReHoblet; a physical rehabilitation game on tablets, designed to be used in a residentialsetting. ReHoblet trains two gross motor movements of the upper limbs by lifting (up-down) and transporting (leftright) the tablet to control a simple platform game. By using its accelerometers and gyroscope, the tablet is capable of detecting movements made by the user and steer the interaction based on this data. A formative evaluation with five ...
