Research on the vision and policy of external actors regarding traditional justice systems in international legal aid for rule of law and transitional justice in post conflict sub-Sahara Africa. Traditional justice systems are analysed in terms of their potential contribution to the construction of democratic states and their role in transitional justice mechanisms, with a special focus on human rights.

When a corporation is held liable for harm arising from human rights abuse abroad, the under-researched question of cross-border recognition and enforcement of judgments arises.
