Jouke Huijzer

Jouke Huijzer is a PhD Candidate in Political Science writing his dissertation left-wing decline in the Low Countries. He argues that it does not suffice to only evaluate electoral trends but that Left decline should also be understood in ideological terms: to what degree do left-wing positions inform the current ideological hegemony. Before taking on the topic of left decline, he wrote about corporate elites and corporate power and influence in politics. He has published in Global Networks, Business and Politics, Frontiers in Political Science and is an editor of Jacobin NL.
