Architecture, Ethical Perception, and Educating for Moral Responsibility

Tijdschriftbijdrage - Tijdschriftartikel

This paper explores elements of architecture's influence on moral responsibility and educating for responsible agency. It does so by forging relevant connections among architecture, an Aristotelian account of ethical perception, and child education. The Aristotelian account underpins our proposal that architecture's embodied values have a significant impact on responsibility's agency requirement, thereby opening the doors to architecture's influence on educating for responsibility. © 2013 Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois.
