Multilevel analysis of political trust: Advanced methods and applications.

This dissertation examines how the latest developments in multilevel methodology can advance the study of political trust. The goal of the present dissertation is to introduce several state-of-the-art procedures in multilevel modeling and to illustrate each specific multilevel technique with an example of application to a challenging puzzle in political trust research. Together the chapters of this dissertation extend the application of sophisticated multilevel techniques, which until now were mostly restricted to the domain of educational research, to the study of political trust.
