The present invention in general relates to the diagnosis of neurodegenerative and/or neuromuscular diseases such as Charcot- Marie-Tooth Disease, in particular type 2, and is based on the finding of 2 novel biomarkers (PFN2 and GAMT), shown to be downregulated in patients.
