Het effect van experiëntiële interventies op zingeving en posttraumatische groei in existentiële zingevende groepstherapie voor kankerpatiënten.

Kanker gaat vaak gepaard met de is often accompanied by the experience of existential threats such as death anxiety, loss of meaning, and existential isolation. As a result, cancer patients are challenged to deal with these existential concerns. Meaning-centered interventions have been designed to help cancer patients and survivors to deal with these existential questions. Our aim is to improve the efficacy of meaning-centered therapies by studying how experiential psychotherapy interventions such as 'focusing' could be integrated into the existing therapy protocol. With this study we want to explore how experiential interventions (e.g. micro-processes of experiential interventions) influence the cancer patient’s way of dealing with existential issues, and how they might facilitate posttraumatic growth and well-being in cancer patients.
