The influence of a Zr-based conversion treatment on interfacial bonding strength and stability of epoxy coated carbon steel Vrije Universiteit Brussel
The effect of a zirconium (Zr)-based pretreatment on interfacial bonding properties of a fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) coating on carbon steel is investigated. The initiation and kinetics of delamination of epoxy coatings applied on differently pretreated carbon steel surfaces is studied with scanning Kelvin probe (SKP). In-situ attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) is applied to study interfacial ...
Operando odd random phase electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (ORP-EIS) for in-situ monitoring of the Zr-based conversion coating growth in the presence of (in)organic additives Vrije Universiteit Brussel
On the Zr electrochemical conversion of additively manufactured AlSi10Mg: The role of the microstructure Vrije Universiteit Brussel
Zirconium-based conversion film formation on zinc, aluminium and magnesium oxides and their interactions with functionalized molecules Vrije Universiteit Brussel
Zirconium-based conversion treatment of zinc, aluminium and magnesium oxides have been studied in-situ using ATR-FTIR in a Kretschmann geometry. This set-up was coupled to an electrochemical cell, which allowed to obtain chemical and electrochemical information simultaneously as a function of conversion time. This elucidated the strong relation between physico-chemical surface properties and zirconium-based conversion kinetics. Whereas the ...
