DWIE : an entity-centric dataset for multi-task document-level information extraction Universiteit Gent
This paper presents DWIE, the 'Deutsche Welle corpus for Information Extraction', a newly created multi-task dataset that combines four main Information Extraction (IE) annotation subtasks: (i) Named Entity Recognition (NER), (ii) Coreference Resolution, (iii) Relation Extraction (RE), and (iv) Entity Linking. DWIE is conceived as an entity-centric dataset that describes interactions and properties of conceptual entities on the level of the ...
Is anti-hormonal treatment in DCIS of the breast a need? Universiteit Antwerpen
Ductal carcinomas in situ (DCIS) represent one fifth of all detected breast cancers. The detection of DCIS can be regarded as collateral damage of breast cancer screening. The treatment of DCIS is based on surgery with or without radiotherapy. Women treated for DCIS have a 10 years survival of 98 %. Could there be a role for systemic therapy in case of a DCIS? Recent published studies suggest there is. However, anti-hormonal therapy (tamoxifen, ...
Prognostic value of histopathological DCIS features in a large-scale international interrater reliability study KU Leuven
PURPOSE: For optimal management of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), reproducible histopathological assessment is essential to distinguish low-risk from high-risk DCIS. Therefore, we analyzed interrater reliability of histopathological DCIS features and assessed their associations with subsequent ipsilateral invasive breast cancer (iIBC) risk. METHODS: Using a case-cohort design, reliability was assessed in a population-based, nationwide cohort ...

Superficial margins in skin sparing and nipple sparing mastectomies for DCIS Universiteit Antwerpen
Skin-sparing and nipple-sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction for breast cancer are increasing. The superficial fascia is considered a natural border and the superficial margin may not be evaluated. We emphasize the need for reporting of the superficial margin status in these procedures to obtain valid information on its association with local recurrence risks. (C) 2021 The Authors.
