Cerenkov Emission of Quasiparallel Whistlers by Fast Electron Phase-Space Holes during Magnetic Reconnection KU Leuven
Kinetic simulations of magnetotail reconnection have revealed electromagnetic whistlers originating near the exhaust boundary and propagating into the inflow region.
