Exploration of sustainable crops for applications in the Flemish circular bio-economy(CropExplore for Farmers) (CropExplore for Farmers)

The main objective of this project is to inspire and stimulate farmers to grow new crops that have a potential within the Flemish bio-economy. By mapping out the potential of the various crops and presenting the crop characteristics in a systematic manner, it will be possible for farmers to compare and choose potentially new crops to work with. The potential of deder, yacon and hemp, which will be demonstrated in the cases, will encourage farmers to get started with a new crop themselves. Through the support group, demonstration moments and Knowledge Exchange Sessions (KUSsessions), the various chain players will have the opportunity to make contacts so that the threshold for getting started with a new crop is lowered.
