[BioDive] Diving Deep into Biological Data Complexity

With this project, we aim to elevate research methodologies in biosystems and agriculture, transforming them into more integrated and holistic frameworks. Traditional approaches often necessitate simplifying complex systems before any meaningful analysis can be conducted. This reductionism can lead to a distorted representation of biological and agricultural systems, compromise the predictive accuracy of models, and ultimately result in systems with diminished resilience to changes in parameters.Using visual analytics and topological data analysis allows us to embrace, rather than eliminate, the inherent complexity of these systems. This helps the expert to generate novel hypotheses, get to deep insight and nuanced interpretations. Using different use cases we will gain insights into the practical applicability and scalability of our proposed methodologies.
