Organisation profile:In a world where biodiversity is under pressure, the PXL Bio Research research center focuses on innovative strategies to increase native biodiversity and restore ecosystems. It is committed to combating invasive exotic species that pose a threat to our local flora and fauna. Another important aspect is the restoration of ecosystems in which the resilience of vulnerable species is ensured through monitoring and the application of sustainable management practices. In addition, research is underway into the impact of human activities on natural soil and water ecosystems. Field studies and laboratory research analyze how pollution, urbanization and other human interventions disrupt the ecological balance. The findings contribute to developing policies and strategies that improve the health of these ecosystems. PXL Bio Research's research approach is versatile, with a strong emphasis on applied ecological research. Combinations of molecular techniques with remote sensing methods provide detailed data on biodiversity and ecosystem functions. Through collaboration with local communities, governments and other research institutions, the researchers strive for an integrated approach that not only benefits biodiversity, but also contributes to a more sustainable future for our planet. This research center is therefore an important player in the fight against biodiversity loss and the conservation of our natural resources.
