Ethical dimensions of data collection and the use of artificial intelligence in sports

The project will describe and analyse the range of rights and duties, both ethical and legal, of employers and athletes in relation to the use of athletes and players data captured via information and communication technologies to monitor health and performance date. It will focus on the use on artificial intelligence and machine learning protocols used to analyze data with particular reference to unintended biases within the algorithms or processes. It will also identify good practice over and above minimal legal duties with regard to the use of such technologies.
