Project
MycoSTOP
The overall goal of this project ("MycoSTOP") is to improve the control and prevention of M. bovis in Flanders. The main challenge here lies in the correct use of diagnostic tests to better target antibiotic use, identify carriers and control the excretion of M. bovis, taking into account the dynamics of M. bovis infections at the population level. The necessary knowledge and innovations will be realized within the project by (1) developing and offering diagnostic tools with existing tests, (2) gaining and sharing practical experience on quick scan pulmonary ultrasound in combination with diagnostic tests on M. bovis farms, and by (3) developing and communicating scientifically based and stakeholder widely supported guidelines for control and prevention of this infection.
