Expert review of 22 conflict entries to be included in the Annual Report.
As part of the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) In Focus project, the Geneva Academy will publish an Annual Report providing an overview and analysis on select issues related to compliance with IHL in 22 priority conflict situations. The Annual Report covers the period between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024. The ultimate objective is to provide States, IOs, NGOs, academics with tools of IHL analysis that are independent, impartial and conducted according to the highest academic standards, and which can support IHL advocacy and humanitarian diplomacy with a view to increase respect for IHL. The specific objective of the consultancy is to conduct high quality substantive review of entries addressing the state of IHL in selected fragile and conflict affected states to feed into the Annual Report as per defined methodology.
