How Can Multiphase Optimization Strategy (MOST), enriched by perspectives of social determinants of health and lived experience with T1D, optimally inform design and implementation of early detection of T1D? – The case of EDENT1FI general population early
The arrival of disease-modifying therapies for type 1 diabetes (T1D) at its asymptomatic stage requires a paradigm shift towards proactive early detection. This PhD project explores how the Multiphase Optimization Strategy (MOST), enriched by social determinants of health (SDOH) and lived experience with T1D, can inform the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of early detection communication campaigns. Using the EDENT1FI project as a real-world use case, the research aims to create a value-based, person-centered framework for behavior change at a population level, leveraging experience-driven approaches to optimize public health outcomes and healthcare system efficiency.
