Laser-Scanning Microscopy Platform
Laser-scanning microscopy enables high-sensitivity imaging of individual fluorescent particles by scanning a laser across a pixel grid. Our custom-built system surpasses commercial setups by combining single-fluorophore detection with single-particle tracking and electrophoresis, enabling multi-parameter characterization at the single-particle level. However, advancing research and collaborations require simultaneous multi-fluorophore detection, improved image quality, and higher throughput. The proposed infrastructure will add two lasers with detectors, acousto-optic deflectors, a water-immersion objective, a fast piezostage, and an optical table shelf.
