Forms of association in amateur arts.

This study aims to analyze the profiles and evolutions of associations of amateur artists in Flanders, of the ways these associations are embedded in society, of their relationships with local and supra local public authorities and their policies, of the supportive measures they use and are in need of. Specific attention will be given to differences between difference art disciplines and to the specific situation of interdisciplinary art forms. The insights from this study will be used by the Flemish government to underpin its policy in support of amateur artists and their associations. Methods of analysis: documentary analysis, analysis of administrative data, focus groups, websurveys.
