Interactions between Psychotherapy Type and Personality Style in the Treatment of Depressive Patients: A Conservation-analytic approach
A substantial amount of empirical research showed the efficacy of different types of psychotherapy for the treatment of depression. Retrospective naturalistic research suggests, however, that depressive patients with different personality styles react differently to different types of therapie. This project intends to apply conversation-analysis to therapy-patient interactions in 20 cases to study the mechanisms responsible for differential efficacy.
