Multifunctionality in the translation of the discourse marker pues

The present study deals with the multifunctionality of discourse markers and proposes a case study on the discursive functions assumed by the operator pues. The objective of the work is descriptive and traductological. A proposal for a description of the functions located in a literary corpus will be presented and these will be examined in relation to the proposed Dutch translations.
