Stadsdebat Beringen (R-12610)

The aim of this project is to develop a debate on the spatial future of the municipality of Beringen. We believe that everyone from Beringen is concerned about the future of their environment and that everyone is constantly creatively adapting their behaviour to make this environment better. A debate on the spatial future of Beringen must therefore start from these daily concerns and creative adjustments to then look together at how these can connect with the ambitions set out by policy makers (and recently summarized in the Beringen Bouwmeesterscan). With the Stadsdebat Beringen project, we will build this debate around a series of walks. Because everyone walks: children to school, the neighbour with her dog, the young father with the buggy, etc. And meanwhile we dream about what we would like do in the future, about the journey we want to make and, why not, about less traffic in our street. With our project, we will collect all these walks and dreams in an online story map. This makes it possible to draw connections and trace tensions between these stories and thus to steer the debate about the future of Beringen in the direction of the ambitions and transition agenda from the Bouwmeesterscan
