Extending Intergroup Contact Theory: From Prejudice Reduction to Social Change

This project investigates the relation between the reduction of prejudice through intergroup contact on the one hand and the existing intergroup climate on the other hand. We focus on the combined effects of positive intergroup contact and the quality of the intergroup climate on prejudice, reactions to discrimination and the willingness to change structural intergroup inequality at the societal level.
