Examining the effectiveness of social media communication strategies of governmental organizations in times of crisis

During crises, via social media information can be quickly spread to a broad public. Current research focuses on communication strategies used in the post-crisis phase to restore reputations. However, when the crisis hits, it’s very important to adequately inform the public. Therefore this PhD will examine how the communication via social media during the crisis management phase can be optimized.
