The research of ReSPOND focuses on three interconnected social issues: 1) Changing family and population dynamics; (2) Socioeconomic, cultural, and political preferences and beliefs of citizens; and (3) The development and implementation of social policies related to redistribution. Our central premise is that these three social issues mutually influence one another and should therefore be studied in an integrated manner, with a key focus on understanding inequalities within and between social groups and institutions. We approach our research questions through a combination of theoretical insights, empirical analysis, and computational methods. ReSPOND leverages both primary and secondary data sources while contributing to the development of innovative data infrastructures.
