Ecosystem functioning under climate change (R-11387)
The role of microbial communities onecosystem services. This involves experiments on testing drought stress tolerance in fungal and soil animal species, discovering patterns by screening for functional traits in soil fungi, deciphering the link between diversity and functioningby manipulating soil microbial communities, and link microbial processes to ecosystem services. This is done in a rangeof setups, from simple in vitro assays to ecotron and field experiments.demic Staff at Hasselt University.
