Introsect

Research in the insect sector is not standing still. With this project we want to introduce insect farming as an agricultural activity in the primary sector. Various agricultural companies from various sectors are intensively supported and advised during the adaptation of their existing infrastructure to a suitable environment for insect breeding and during the start-up of the effective insect breeding. In this way we can remove the lack of knowledge and the uncertainties that farmers have. The ultimate goal of the project is the creation of the 'insect barometer', an online tool that allows farmers to find out whether the breeding of insects is a feasible option for their specific company.
