Optimising the detection of criminal intent and deception among criminal networks: The role of response inhibition

The project investigates the role of response inhibition in lying and its implications for lie detection. The main hypothesis is that lying involves the activation of the truth, which next has to be inhibited. In a series of experiments with behavioural and neurophysiological measures this hypothesis is investigated.
