Project

Organext: "Nanomaterials and innovative deposition technologies for next generation opto-electronic applications and thin-film solar cells. (R-2435)

The overall objective of the ORGANEXT-project is the creation of an appropriate interdisciplinary knowledge platform and ORGANEXT cluster, consisting of industrial partners (SMEs and large companies), policy makers and research institutes, to encourage the Euregio Meuse-Rhine to become a top technology region in the area of organic opto-electronics and solar cells. This platform will be powered by a core of top-level research centers in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, Eindhoven and Leuven with renowned expertise in the field of nanotechnology, new materials, solar cells and economic analysis/valorization. The project aims at knowledge transfer and close cooperation on the different technology and economics-related aspects of the "value chain" for organic opto-electronics and solar cells: nanomaterials, deposition techniques, an "Euregio Nanomaterials Analysis lab and the development and integration of demonstrators.
