Project

Participation as an educational perspective. Towards a lifeworld orientation.

Within the existing body of international youth research, leisure time participation is dominantly studied in relation to broader socialization objectives. This dominant outcome-focus imports a lack of knowledge regarding (1) the actual meaning of leisure time in practice and (2) the methodology of participatory youth research in which youngsters actually are acknowledged as co-researchers. This research project aims to address both knowledge lacunas.
