The role of the Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome protein (WASp) in human T cell development and on the development of the T cell repertoire.

Using gene editing techniques, we will replace a healthy WAS gene in cord blood stem cells with a defectie WAS gene from patients. These stem cells will subsequently be differentiated to T cells in various models of T cell differentiation. In this way, we will acquire knowledge on what exactly is the role of the WAS protein during T cell differentiation and the generation of a diverse T cell repertoire.
