Project

Smart ocean energy harvesting & hydrogen-based systems. Research, design and assessment.

The European Union (EU) made the commitment to become climate neutral by 2050. For this purpose, the EU has agreed to invest 35 billion Euros in the development of climate oriented, innovative and cost-efficient solutions, with a specific focus on electrification, renewable energy sources, smart networks, batteries, hydrogen & fuel cells and energy storage. The research of the promotor aligns fully with the challenges stated by the European Union’s Green Deal and focusses on smart ocean energy and hydrogen system wide technologies. These technologies are essential in the abatement of climate change. The approach followed for the conducted research foci, is oriented towards the quadruple helix model.
