Spontaneity in Space: An Urban Design Approach to the (Re)production of Social Space

The motives, forms and processes of appropriation and (re)production of living spaces by the individuals and small groups in everyday life are the main interest of this research. The socio-spatial patterns undergirding the concept of spontaneity will be explored. In our research, these patterns will be used to analyse spaces created by people in order to answer certain needs or preferences that are not taken up by any legal plan document.
