Study of the influence of macro porous structured carriers and their zeolite coating on mass transport: a synergic approach to modeling, controlled synthesis, characterization and sorption (FWOAL666)

Macrostructured supports with porus (catalytically active) coatings are seen as an important part of process intensification and sustainable chemistry, as they allow a controlled mass and heat transfer, increased volumetric productivity and controllability, low pressure drops etc. This project aims at studying highly flexible three dimensional fiber deposition (3DFD) supports coated in various ways with zeolite layers via a synergic methodology based on modeling (computational fluid dynamics and predictive modelling), characterization and sorption.
