Method development for the characterization of serum/plasma protein glycosylation. Application in clinical hepatology, endocrinology, oncology and anti-doping control Ghent University
This project aims to develop new methods for the characterisation of protein glycosylation patterns of serum proteins, and to apply these in clinical contexts. More specifically, sensitive and specific markers for liver cirrhosis and cancer are investigated, as is the influence of ageing on the glycosylation patterns of plasma hormones and hormone-binding proteins.

The Pan-African Nematology Network (PANEMA) is a platform for nematologists and stakeholders in Africa to establish contacts for cooperation in nematology education and research within and outside Africa. This GMF project is co-sponsoring the organisation of the third PANEMA workshop aimed at exchanging good practices in nematology education and reaching out to academics, young students and agricultural extension staff.
