The role and impact of the employment consultant in the (new) guidance and mediation model: an analysis of the implementation, the determinants at meso and micro level and the outcomes with jobseekers. KU Leuven
Global value chains: a micro- and macro-level analysis KU Leuven
The doctoral work will consist of essays in international trade and related domains. It will mainly focus on the analysis of global value chains from a firm-level perspective. First, the research agenda will entail the development of new theoretical frameworks. Then, the predictions arising from these models will be tested in the data using sound empirical strategies.
Genetic and environmental determinants of the circulation in a Flemish population - a discovery trial from microvessels to larger arteries KU Leuven
Towards TEM multiscale, multimode, high-throughput materials characterization for recycled materials. University of Antwerp
The life of depositions: a material and contextual analysis of structured settlement depositions from Northwestern Europe during the Iron Age Ghent University
This project aims to provide a systematic overview of structured depositions in settlement contexts during the Iron Age of Northwestern Europe. This serves to better understand the cosmology of the late prehistoric inhabitants in this region through their ritual and depositional behaviours. The research area of the Meuse-Somme-North Sea region complements the gradual movement of research interest from England, the Netherlands and Germany to ...
Development of 3D elemental, structural and isotopic microanalysis techniques for the study of unique meteoritic materials Ghent University
This project aims at the development and application of high-end methods for elemental/structural/isotopic micro/nano-analysis making use of laboratory and synchrotron based X-ray imaging methodologies in conjunction with laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS). The methods developed will be deployed for three-dimensional (3D) morphological, chemical and isotopic characterization of rare meteoritic materials. ...
You can't choose your family but how do you choose your career path? Connecting family capital and career paths of next generation family members. A family business study. Hasselt University
Voluntary Sustainability Standards as a Governance Mechanism for Sustainable Global Food and Wood Systems KU Leuven
Development and optimization of X-ray based analytical techniques towards the analysis of rare extraterrestrial materials. Ghent University
Micro-XRF spectroscopy, using synchrotron or conventional X-ray source based excitation, is a well-established non-destructive, microanalytical method, providing information on the elemental distributions in the probed sample. When three dimensional spatially resolved information is of interest, often a confocal micro-XRF detection scheme is applied as an alternative to XRF tomography. However, both methods pose significant challenges when ...
