The current project focuses on the motivational antecedents/outcomes of the different dimensions of innovative work behavior (i.e. idea generation, idea promotion and idea realization) in organizations. This project includes on the one hand the development of a computerized simulation of innovative work behavior. On the other hand a fieldstudy is planned to investigate innovative work behavior in a longitudinal research design.

Time inconsistent choices refer to choosing attractive, short term options instead of balanced, long term options. While time inconsistent choices are often considered to be equal to impulse behaviour, we assume that consumers make such choices to fulfil certain motivations. We investigate the role of three motivations: (1) justification, (2) self-reward, (3) emotion regulation.
