This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of perioperative pain neuroscience education (PPNE) in patients who are at risk for unfavorable outcome following surgery for lumbar radiculopathy. As such, a multicentric randomized controlled trial was developed to compare the therapy effects of PPNE to perioperative biomedical educationin these at-risk patients. The intervention included 2 face-to-face education sessions and access to an educational web application.
