Groene Nanotechnologie voor efficientere productie van groene waterstof (Groene waterstofelectrolyse)

Imec and VITO focused on the scaling up of components for electrolysers and characterization equipment. Electrolysis systems are used for processes such as splitting water into oxygen and hydrogen using electricity. UHasselt focuses on new materials for the generation and use of hydrogen based on – electricity generated by – solar energy. imec focuses on the further development of its nanomesh material. This electrode material – extended from connected nanowires into a three-dimensional consistent structure – has a high porosity and an identical reaction surface. These material properties can enable innovations in energy applications, such as industrial electrolysis for green hydrogen production.
