Het Departement Burgerlijke Bouwkunde bestaat uit 4 afdelingen: de Afdeling Bouwmechanica; de Afdeling Bouwmaterialen en Bouwtechnieken; de Afdeling Hydraulica en de Afdeling Bouwfysica. Daarnaast behoort ook de Technologiecluster Bouw tot het departement.
Het Departement Farmaceutische en Farmacologische Wetenschappen voert onderzoek naar een breed scala aan onderwerpen die het gehele medicijn ontwikkelingsproces omvatten, verricht onderzoek naar het gebruik van geneesmiddelen in de samenleving en begeleidt mensen in het veld.
