Multi-axis force-torque sensing device and holding structure for use therewith

The present invention relates to a holding structure for a multi-axis force-torque sensing device for measuring at least one force component on a test object, the holding structure comprising a first clamping element having a plurality of first coupling projections and a second clamping element spaced apart from the first clamping element in the first direction and comprising a plurality of second coupling projections. The holding structure further comprises a first connector disposed between the first and second clamping element. Each diagonal element of the first connector six degree-of-freedom (DOF) stiffness matrix is less than each corresponding diagonal element of the first clamping element six degree-of-freedom stiffness matrix with respect to the first connector, and wherein each diagonal element of the first connector six degree-of-freedom stiffness matrix is less than each corresponding diagonal element of the second clamping element six degree-of-freedom stiffness matrix with respect to the first connector.
