Essays on Urban Economics and Housing Fiscalism

Korte inhoud:This PhD will focus on the behaviour of tax payers. More precisely will the characteristics of agents deciding to make an appeal be determined. The underlying determinants which lead to the decision and the decision process itself will be investigated. Furthermore, is this PhD trying to investigate how this behaviour may be altered by use of behavioural modification, like nudges. For this purpose a nudge experiment will be performed in collaboration with the Belgium tax authorities.
