RM&M

The Flanders MakeR&MM core lab performs fundamental research in soft,safe yet strong and energy efficient actuators including self healingcapabilities for applications in human robot collaboration for healthier andmore productive work in agile manufacturing. We develop and program wearable robots asexoskeletons and cobots, manipulators and soft self healing grippers. Thedeveloped control architectures include social interaction, programming by userdemonstration, constraint handling and task allocation including ergonomics.

Research is performed towards the controlof collaborative multi robot systems. R&MM is the coordinator of the BruBotics consortium combining all roboticsrelated expertise of the VUB together from exact and applied sciences (AI,sensors), human physiology and rehabilitation and social/economic studies withmore than 100 academic researchers.
