Juan Cai

Juan Cai is a postdoctoral researcher at BILD (Brussels Research Centre on Innovation in Learning and Diversity) in the Department of Educational Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Her expertise encompasses professional learning communities, inclusive education, and self-regulated learning i.e. effort regulation.

Juan Cai holds a Doctorate in Educational Sciences from VUB, where her research focused on self-regulated learning and student motivation within classroom settings. She also completed her Master’s in Educational Sciences at VUB, concentrating on curriculum development, applied statistical methods, and professional development support.

Throughout her career, Cai has demonstrated exceptional research and academic skills. She has published in high-impact journals, including Learning Environments Research, Studies in Educational Evaluation, Social Psychology of Education, and Frontiers in Psychology. Her research employs advanced methodologies such as structural equation modeling and content analysis, showcasing her proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research techniques.
