Raman and infrared spectroscopy in conservation and restoration
Boekbijdrage - Hoofdstuk
Korte inhoud:Raman and infrared spectroscopy are two of the most frequently used molecular techniques in the fields of archaeometry and art analysis. Both techniques use advanced benchtop configurations for conducting laboratory investigations, but also can be applied on-site and/or directly on the artefact, and produce high-quality results. In this chapter, vibrational spectroscopy is discussed, giving a short introduction on its theory, followed by the description of approaches and instrumental advances for the two techniques.
