Sexuality and gender from decolonial perspective

Korte inhoud:Sex(uality) and gender has been studied from a multitude of viewpoints, like gen¬dered and feminist perspectives; LGBT-perspectives, queer studies, liberalism, Marxism and democratic theory. The ‘decolonial perspective’ is a relative newcomer on this perhaps already overcrowded scene of critical social perspectives. In line with INSEP’s take on sexual ethics and politics as a critical and discursive enterprise, informed by transdisciplinary approaches and focusing on both conceptual and the¬oretical debates and their political articulation in contemporary societies, we invited Madina Tlostanova to discuss her views on how to think sexuality and gender, on the role and impact of global feminism and on how to do ethics and politics from this decolonial perspective.
