Pre-allocated professorship in biomedical molecular biology Ghent University
A position as pre-allocated professor grants one the privilege for a period of maximum 5 years to focus primarily on research, with a teaching load limited to no more than 8 ECTS credits per semester on average over a period of 3 years.
Purchase steam autoclave central kitchen Department of Biomedical Molecular Biology Ghent University
This application for basic equipment concerns funding for a steam autoclave for the central kitchen of our department. This is a really basic instrument crucial for the general functioning of any biochemical-biomedical laboratory. The machine will be used for autoclaving liquids (and glass work) for the research groups of the departments WE14, WE10, WE02 and GE01 working in our building.
Special Research Fund Professorship in molecular cell biology Ghent University
A BOF-ZAP-mandate holder receives an appointment or appointment as a member of the Independent Academic Personnel with mainly research assignment. The wage costs are charged to the resources of the BOF.
Connecting the molecular structure and function of P4/P5B transport ATPases to neuronal cell biology KU Leuven
Research in the Laboratory of Cellular Transport Systems (Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine; KU Leuven) focuses on P-type transport ATPases in mammalian organism including their role in human neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease. P-type ATPases are transport proteins that generate vital ion or lipid gradients across the plasma membrane or organellar membranes of nearly every cell in the organism. Our current ...
Identification of the molecular networks involved in leaf growth through a systems biology approach Ghent University
Plant growth and the influence of the environment on this growth are important aspects of plant physiology. Despite the fundamental importance of plant growth little is known on the molecular networks that govern size and growth rate of organs such as leaves. This project aims to unravel the regulatory pathways that drive leaf growth in a systems biology approach.
